Walt's Campings Secrets✓ Add us as a preferred source on Google

Hi, I'm Walt. I spent thirty-five years as a scoutmaster in northern Michigan, and more than four hundred boys came through my troop. I taught every one of them the same things my father taught me: how to tie a knot that holds, start a fire in the rain, sleep warm on cold ground, and fix almost any problem in the woods with what's already in your pocket. Somewhere along the way, the gear aisle replaced all of that. Every simple trick we taught eleven-year-olds became a forty-dollar gadget with a battery in it. On this channel, I teach the old scout way. The two-dollar fire starter that outworks the fancy one. The knots that replace a box of hardware. The tarp setup that sleeps better than a tent costing four hundred dollars. Real skills, shown step by step, the way we drilled them at summer camp. No gear reviews. No survival drama. Just the plain, useful know-how that used to be passed down by hand. Subscribe if you want to learn the skills they stopped teaching.
