RogerTeachesMusic provides free video lessons for beginning guitarists, pianists and ukulele players, which can be used by yourself or in a classroom. They are numbered so that you know where to start and what the next lesson is. Guitar (starting with 4 strings) and baritone ukuleles start with the letter G, piano starts with P and soprano/concert/tenor Ukuleles start with a U. We start with the basics and then continually add new concepts after you've mastered previous lessons. The biggest factors in learning is to get a guitar that's easy to play, someone to teach you and to REALIZE THAT THERE'S NO WAY TO LEARN THIS INSTRUMENT OTHER THAN REGULAR PRACTICE AND TO PLAY FOR YEARS!!!!! Join a band and play for others. This will make you practice more. Also, pay attention to what other musicians around you do so you can learn new things from them. I suggest playing 10 minutes a day to start, TWO videos per week. If you're ready, this is a great starting point! Let's go!
