My name is Ho Zen Yong, founder and luthier of Hozen Guitars in Singapore. I have been building guitars since 2004. I make a limited number of acoustic guitars, each centred on individual voicing. Every soundboard is assessed, thinned and voiced by hand, allowing the character and potential of each piece of wood to be fully realised. This channel documents the work behind Hozen Guitars—from tonewood selection, top voicing and bracing studies to guitar demonstrations, tonal comparisons and conversations about modern lutherie. These are not mass-produced instruments. They are personal works made in small numbers, with the aim of preserving the human touch in guitar making and sharing that knowledge with the next generation.
