About

Garden Up was born out of an urge to convert a tiny hostel room into a private little sanctuary. Should have been easy, there was no dearth of content explaining the 'how to'. The only trouble was a researcher's mind, fixated with the 'why'. Garden Up is a chronicle of all the Eureka moments of a curious green ninja, enlivened by creativity.

About me:
I am Ekta, a researcher and an entrepreneur, living in Mumbai.
I spent a decade studying Ecology, ranging from soil nutrient dynamics in the forests of southern India to sustainable farming practices among communities in the Himalayas. After finishing my PhD from IISc Bangalore, I decided to make a career in digital media and edutainment through my own venture, Garden Up, a logical extension to our successful Youtube channel.
Today Garden Up is the sum total of finding that balance, my contribution to a silent, yet powerful green revolution that's taking place in urban homes.
