Fablingo Español teaches SPANISH to English speakers by immersing them in one warm neighbourhood (a barrio) with a recurring cast. Philosophy: SPEAKING FIRST — learners acquire Spanish like a first language, by listening, copying and speaking aloud, not grammar drills; correct grammar/vocabulary is taught but always in service of speaking. Narration/explanations are in ENGLISH (warm host Lucía); characters speak SPANISH in their own distinct voices; a top overlay shows the Spanish phrase being taught with an English gloss. Register (tú vs usted) is taught NATURALLY by who speaks (Rosa warm/casual, Sra. Ortega formal), never as a rule. Neutral Latin-American accent. 8 recurring cast: Lucía (host), Teo (the learner = the viewer), Rosa (café), Don Beto (market/numbers), Kike (casual slang), Vale (plans/feelings), Mía (child, simplest), Sra. Ortega (formal). Two lessons/week (Tue/Fri). Warm, encouraging, never makes the learner feel stupid.
