Dan Shields is the author of the 12 Volume Guitar daily Workout. He's a guitarist from Pittsburgh, PA. He has his Masters Degree in Jazz Performance from Duquesne University and his undergrad from Pitt, where he was the winner of the prestigious Mallon Jazz Scholarship, the winner of Pittsburgh's Best Guitarist, and a finalist for the Casio Jazz Competition for the best college musicians in the country. Dan Shields has had the chance to play with lots of wonderful and amazing musicians who have inspired him and helped him to learn and grow. And he’s been graced with the opportunity to have played on hundreds of studio sessions, thousands of live gigs, in front of literally millions of people.
