I’m Charlotte Moser, a PhD researcher in Applied Mathematics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This channel explores applied mathematics through intuition, structure, and real-world connections. I create several video series: • One Concept • One Example: intuitive explanations of core ideas in machine learning, statistics, stochastic modeling, and dynamical systems, based on Nan Chen and I's upcoming book Applied Mathematics Toolkit • Blackboard Mini Lectures: classical applied mathematics tools, widely used across applied sciences and engineering • Applied Mathematics for Earth Systems: mathematical ideas for understanding climate & Earth systems I share selected research talks on interdisciplinary work connecting applied mathematics with engineering, data science, and Earth systems. Subscribe if you're interested in applied mathematics, its role in understanding the world around us, and developing intuition that connects ideas across disciplines.
