Basecamp Africa is about discovering places, not just passing through them. We focus on honest campsite reviews, using each camp as a basecamp to explore the surrounding area — the landscapes, routes, and atmosphere that make a destination worth visiting. Our videos cover camping, overlanding, off-grid travel, and outdoor exploration across Southern Africa. From remote bush camps to iconic destinations like Kruger National Park, Basecamp Africa is about slowing down and experiencing places as they are — real, quiet, and unfiltered. If you enjoy camping, overlanding, nature, and exploring Africa beyond the obvious, you’re in the right place.
