Ashlar is a history documentary channel covering world history from the pyramids to the Cold War: the Roman Empire, Alexander the Great, Napoleon, World War 2 and the famous battles that decided them. Every empire is built from stone, and every stone was cut by someone. I look at how the rise and fall of empires really worked: who gave the orders, who paid for them, who carried the load, and the one decision where it all turned. Ancient history, medieval history, military history and modern wars all get the same careful, story-first treatment. Expect long-form narrated documentaries built around a single question each. I say where historians disagree, and I skip the myths that sound good but don't hold up. If that's the kind of world history you want to watch, subscribe, and tell me in the comments which empire, war or battle I should cover next.
