Day 4/12 hiking the Fisherman’s trail of the Rota Vicentina was a BLAST! Started off the morning with a SUP tour of the caves, so we didn’t start hiking until 2pm, got to Carrapateira just before sunset!! #rotavicentina #fishermanstrail #costavicentina #carrapateira

Day 2 of hiking the Fisherman’s trail on the Rota Vicentina (Salema —> Sagres) - the supposed “hardest” day of the hike! Ok, day 2 was INCREDIBLE! The distance (20km) and plethora of hills did not even faze us because we were too distracted by hiking with our toes in the water, and stopping every hour for at least a dip, if not two! Day 1, Part 2 of the Fisherman’s Trail on the Rota Vicentina (Luz —> Salema) Lagos to Luz was a breeze so with full confidence we pressed on to Salema, combining day 1+2 into one day. Wellllll, we were immediately humbled! From Luz to Salema, we battled foot aches and hungry bellies for about 10 miles of hills, soft sand, and the occasional ankle roll!
