My book is set in mid 19th century New York City, so no world building…you’d think! But I’m not old enough to remember 1863. I can take my info from history, but I still need to make the world feel believable (Since I don’t think any of you are old enough to remember 1863). Everything above is true for made up words as well. You can have a city on the moon, but it’ll still have history, traditions and weird habits.
