I slipped out to check on my chickens while things had eased up, and on the way back I stopped at Zanpa Cliffs to show you the ocean with a storm this size parked on us. To be clear, this wasn’t the calm center. I was at the inner edge of the eyewall, where the wind backs off just enough to fool you but the storm is still very much on. This maybe the Best sasimi spot I’ve found in Okinawa and it’s ten minutes from the airport. Picked up the camper from us near the airport and drive straight here, eat tuna that was swimming a few hours earlier. A Whole flipping market of it. Nobody else on this beach. Not one person. We parked about 20 meters from the water and left the doors open all night. You could hear the waves the whole time.
