One of my favorite books from one of my favorite thinkers. “Enjoyment Right & Left” by Todd McGowan. Mix of philosophy, psychoanalysis and politics. A bit academicky but he gives great clear examples, which helps clear up confusion. I also think he gets at something i intuitively think is true but didnt have the words for. Enjoyed this one. This prolly book 3 i read from him. Quick reads (most of his books are 90ish pages tops, including the bib). Interesting philosopher. His writing is very aphoristic but i dont think its so conceptual that you don’t understand his points. But I wouldn’t exactly say his books are for beginners.
