People don't just fall through the cracks. Sometimes the cracks are left there on purpose. Underfunded mental health services. Poverty. Homelessness. Isolation. Discrimination. Years-long waiting lists. A benefits system that punishes disabled people for being disabled. We are told to be resilient, while the things that make resilience possible get quietly taken away. Suicide prevention has to mean more than a crisis line, though crisis lines save lives and you should never hesitate to use one.
