I went to Delaney Hall, a privately run ICE detention facility in Newark where detainees are currently to engaged in a hunger strike due to inhumane conditions. If someone from NY17 is detained by ICE, there is a good chance they will be brought here. We cannot ignore the injustices happening right in our own backyard.
