Let’s learn about Simandl’s Etude No. 24, Allegretto for double bass! This etude features the same dotted rhythm as a classic dotted eighth-16th note pattern in a 6/8 time signature in Gb Major!  It’s definitely a workout, and in this clip I’m using a bridged fingering where I hold down parallel notes on the fingerboard with my index finger.
