Ullrson is the newly adopted alias of esteemed DJ, Producer, and Radio Host Nick Bowman. Drawing inspiration from Ullr, the enigmatic Norse god associated with archery, oaths, and duelling, Ullrson originates from Norwich, East Anglia—an area replete with rich pagan history and folklore. The moniker pays homage to the region's storied past, from the Angles settling in East Anglia - a land ruled by the Wuffingas “The Kin of the Wolf” with links to the epic poem Beowulf, the "Great Heathen Army" and Danish Viking rule to the legendary Queen Boudicca's resistance against Roman oppression. A respected name in UK techno, Nick Bowman has spent sixteen years at the helm of The Future Underground Show, championing leading underground talent from across the globe. His driving bass-heavy techno has powered sets at iconic venues including Ministry of Sound, Pacha London, Egg and Basing House, while international appearances in Colombia, Germany and Italy have further expanded his reach. Bowman’s first Ministry of Sound booking came after winning IDJ’s renowned Raw Talent Competition, with his acclaimed mix drawing praise from Jody Wisternoff, Riva Starr and Deepgroove. The Future Underground Show can be heard on Digitally Imported's Techno Channel every third Friday of the month at www.di.fm/techno and was previously on Future Radio - www.futureradio.co.uk -107.8 FM. The shows are made available to listen again and download and see thousands of plays and downloads each month.
