A tribute to the Rick James song “Superfreak” and the 2007 film Little Miss Sunshine (Mary Ryan’s favorite), the podcast’s title owns the label of ‘outsider.’ Mary Ryan—who wears many different hats as wife, mom, writer, and comedian—aims to explore the unique challenge of balancing family, work, and the pursuit of impossible dreams. What happens when we show up, talk back to our fears, and give every ounce of effort to the present moment and the people with whom we share it?
