I sew for paint. I'm a landscape painter who started a small sewing business for 18" dolls to fund my art habit--and discovered that designing doll outfits is almost as addictive as painting. I paint by day (I prefer painting on location) and create tiny outfits at night--and in the interim try to explain to puzzled friends and family why I'm still playing with dolls! My teenage sons cringe, but my coolness rating is high with my young nieces:)
