Time to let the first coat dry for 24 hours and I'll add more epoxy and plastic.
If that post with 80% missing works I want a nobel prize in crappy old monitor repair.
It just occurred to me that the top right post may have too big of a plastic shim shoved in there and might get in the way of reassembly. I guess that's what a Dremel is for.

Another layer of load bearing epoxy and scrap plastic has been applied.
I should probably get on to diagnosing the actual fault on the board that made it stop working. The symptoms are pretty common for failing caps on the monitor II, but given the CRT was just flopping around in there I feel more inclined to investigate cracked solder joints or damaged components the neck board might have bumped

I salvaged some plastic to use as scaffolding/shims for my posts. I knew hoarding a totally destroyed monitor in my garage would come in handy.

Both drives and (more surprisingly) the two disk based games I bought work! the dirty drive is quite a bit loader and slower so I might have to do something about its belt and motor.
Being totally new to the 400/600/800 line these two messages kind of threw me for a loop until I remembered the 800XL is basically a 800 with a basic cartridge shoved in the right cartridge port at all times.

The posts broke so unevenly and into so many tiny fragments I'm not super optimistic. One post is pretty much impossible to reassemble and I may have to leave the screw out of it. Going to try though.
Decided the best course of action was to coat some wood swabs in petroleum jelly (anti bonding agent for the epoxy) and put them in the posts to protect the threads and hold them while the first coat dries.
This is a slightly different typ…

The Atari 1050 is probably the most pleasant external floppy drive Ive ever serviced. Everything was so easily accessible and easy to disassemble. The screws were even all the same size!

Menards is out of the plastic bonding JB Weld I need, so while I wait for it to come from amazon Im going to move on to my other monitor I picked up and the atari floppy drives.

Oops, messed up and didnt post that in this thread.
I'm definitely the kind of person that should be playing with brittle high voltage glass tubes.
