🫠 Finally got around to switching my work systemd-nspawn container in #nixos to a full VM using #microvmnix. nspawn is convenient and works really well until you need to do things with docker/podman. I had to move the docker service outside … ★ 2 The repercussions were so manageable I don't really have any motivation to understand what happened. I did however set up a zfs auto snapshot on reboot, and I'm investigating making zfs snapshots before I boot a new generation. Don't know why but after updating my #nixos server (on stable), my nspawn containers got wiped. Bad thing: I have to reupload my backup to the one cloud storage my stupid self did not back up the encryption key for. Good thing: wiped Plex … Ended up merging services/programs into a single modules directory. Made it easier to share things between the different modules. But the profiles concept turned out great, I could move a lot of shared config from my host configs into it. I'm doing a major refactoring of my #nixos setup. Semi-mirroring the services/programs concepts, and introducing a cascading profiles thing where I can define at which level I want a specific machine to be.
