I think I could get *most* of the way to this result just by adding some horseradish and anchovies to regular mac'n'cheese, and that's a lot easier. Now, was it worth it? For a one-time thing to try, yes; it was a recipe I've had my eye on for a while as something I'd like to make eventually, and now I've had the chance. Would I make it again?
