after making sure #phpstan result cache is properly persisted between CI runs (and fixing a bug in PHPStan when composer.lock is on gitignore), PHPStan now runs in a few seconds on #tempest instead of ~1 minute

Since April 2026 we fixed ~280 issues on #phpstan.

I started playing with it to see whether we can make use of it in #PHPStan, too. Lets see what other maintainers think about my proposal :-)
We have a few really cool perf experiments running atm to get #phpstan even faster.. some of them look really promising. 🫰
Its implemented in the upcoming release and will ship with a new phpdoc @pure-unless-callable-is-impure which allows you to achieve the same thing on your own code
