More photos from our hike up Mt #Pureora today (2/2). We had a wonderful hike up Mt #Pureora in the central North Island of #NewZealand today, burning off all those Christmas goodies (1/2). I've been trying to memorise Chinese characters for 3 months now, and it's going surprisingly well: I've memorised over 500 characters with ~98% retention. The mnemonic approach from the book I'm using really does work, as long as I put in the time (~1 hour/day). I've got a long way to go...I can recognise a few things, but still need to learn how characters are combined into words, and how words I checked out the new #obsidian table editor this morning, and was very disappointed to see that it doesn't add whitespace to a #markdown table so it can be easily viewed/edited in another editor.
