Last Sunday's ride with TRBUG. 53 km out from Cabarlah. I decided to ride to the start point so I ended up doing 93 km! A pleasant ride on a mixture of asphalt, gravel and dirt roads, through state forest and pine plantations
The week since then has been wet so I have hung around the house and have started a new painting.

I sanded back the varnish, masked it off then repainted the sky and added some more clouds. I then to…
Today's trike ride, a 74 km loop to the west of Toowoomba. I stopped at the Biddeston store for lunch. I shared the verandah fable with another old bloke and chatted about the trike and various shared ailments.
After lunch I switched batte…
On Sunday I went for a ride with the Toowoomba BUG. The ride started in town so that no one needed to drive. The Trump instigated craziness is affecting everyone.
We rode a loop around the west outskirts and finished at our usual Friday st…

For the last six months I've had the goal of riding 4000 km by the end of the year. I'm getting pretty close.
Today I did my longest ride ever 102.5 km! So now I only have 92 km to go.
I rode from Toowoomba to Pittsworth via Wyreema and So…
Tuesday's trike ride had a short interlude as I fixed a flat tyre.
As I came to the lights outside the Southern hotel the left front tyre went down. I dragged the trike onto the grass, got my tools out, and tipped the trike on its side.

On Sunday I drove to Esk for a ride on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail with TRBUG.
The weather was overcast but not cold. Some parts of the trail were wet and I ended up being peppered with muddy spots.
The ride was very bumpy in places. It…
This morning I went for a ride over to the Toowoomba airport to attend the David Hack Classic.
The weather was good and there was lots to see. I slowly pedalled around checking out the classic and vintage cars, and aircraft.
I sketched the…
