How do you all handle daily recurring tasks in #Obsidian ?
I have recurring tasks as separate notes in a folder and my daily note template shows these through a #dataview
## Daily Tasks
```dataview
TASK FROM "00-META/03-Calendar/03-3-recur/03-3-1-daily"
```
This works fine, but when I'd like the task to be copied, not linked (completing a task in the daily note, completes it in the template)

🔥 Top post Think I am starting to get the hang of #emacs now - only took 2 weeks of forced learning but I can really see the benefits ★ 4

I dont get why polical donations are seen as 'absolute game changers' - why cant the politician say 'sorry - thanks for the $10k to ban [blah] , but someone else donated $20k to not ban [blah]. Every company: adds "AI [blah]" to every bloody product when NO ONE ASKED FOR IT. This is such a shame as there are GOOD uses for AI, but the current mood is rapidly becoming "if I hear AI one more fucking time I will scream" ★ 2 I wrote some old #worldbuilding #procedural_generators - trying to make them more visible. Doing a web app so everyone can find things - https://github.com/acutesoftware/worldbuild #SQLite is a very underrated database - for single users it is blindingly fast and works well, though the slightly limited #SQL commands are annoying at times ★ 1

So ChatGPT gets confused counting the letter 'r' in the word strawberry - but with EXTREME coaching, it gets there in the end #LLMs are great for helping you code - they more often than not give you bugs / code that wont integrate / missed parts , so you have to work out what is wrong. Its like turning the fun part of 'writing code' into the boring part or 'debu…

To #organise my #PIM I set up top level folders below - 00-META 10-Pers 20-Biz 30-Work 40-Dev 50-Fun 60-Design 70-Make 80-Learn Good thing is, any #Markdown friendly app like #Obsidian or #Logseq can read them 2nd level folders in image I think I have finally settled on a folder hierarchy for #Obsidian - is 125 folders too many? With the dataview plugin, I am having no trouble finding things so far. ```dataview TABLE length(rows.file.path) as "Num notes", sum(rows.file.si… I've been developing for a long time, but so far I have yet to see a need for #Docker. It feels like a lazy way to avoid setting up a #python install package.

About

I love computers and I absolutely *will* re-invent the wheel (on my own time) - every, single time so I know how it all works. Work is mainly #data manipulation with #SQL and #Python, but a lot of #metadata extraction, #PKM, #PIM and finding better ways to collect, classify and manage information. I love playing #Games and do #GameDev in #UnrealEngine and #Blender (currently working on an #OpenWorld #ThirdPerson #crafting game ) My values are #Learn #Left #Opensource #kindness #dontbeadick
